LAST MAN STANDING

Antonio Di Pietro says explicitly NO to the italian nuclear turn today. "Governement must stop in time, and point everything on the renewable energies, of whom Italy is rich of. Or, at least, spend money on research on the fourth generation nuclear, wich is a totally different thing". I don't quote the second part of his sentence, and i don't say this man is a saint, but no way:

this man has the balls.

Ah....and his party, Italia dei Valori, it's the only one that is denouncing the turn to dictatorship. Describing the situation as it is, without rhetoric or false-dialogue-compromises. So, he wins my respect...for that it could count.

No alarmism, but...

The second "little" problem in two weeks.
This follows another "little unforeseen", one week ago, with the discovery of a broken pipe in a nuclear solid fuel factory in Romans sur Isère, south of France.
Pipe that accidentally is UNDER the ground and is broken from years, leaking uranium free to waste nature and contaminate ground water.
But we can be untroubled, governement always says "no risks", "everything's under control", "no real dangers".

Exactly the same kind of declarations of URSS governement in 1986, concerning Chernobyl, showing you the fact that ALSO IF THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A RISK, YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN.

BREAKING NEWS: NUCLEAR ACCIDENT IN FRANCE
30.000 litres of radioactive fluid leaked from Tricastin power plant


Yesterday, 9/7/2008, a nuclear disaster occured in the nuclear central of Tricastin, near Avignon, France. A tank - used as container of radioactive fluid - broke letting leak 30.000 litres in the local mill run, wich reversed it in the rivers Gauffière and Auzon. The liquid contained more than 75 kg of uranium, a crazy quantity of radioactive metal.
Governement disposed extraordinary mesures to local towns, forbidding to drink, eat or getting in touch with anything that comes from that water. Farmers are not allowed to use rivers' water to irrigate fields. Special teams are working to contain the disaster and de-contaminate waterways before the substance reach the sea.

I can't believe it. I wrote a post about madness of italian nuclear future, and i fall on this news. I checked: NONE ITALIAN NEWSPAPERS talked about this news today, except "L'unita". That's disgusting, it makes me FURIOUS. Regime's press, controlled by political partits and industrial lobbies, hasn't reported a news - a very important news - that could be dangerous for their criminal plans, risking to increase discontent of public opinion about the nuclear turn.

Nuclear it's useless, it's the most expensive form of energy, it would be totally improfitable without public taxes funding. The quantity of uranium in nature is ridiculous, it can't guarantee an energy plan for the next decades. It's the biggest danger for our future, in this era of terrorism.

Nuclear is an abort of our rationality.
It's against nature.
This will brings us to THE WORST of our nightmares.

THE FUTURE


Right to the end.
Italian government announces that we will move to the nuclear.
Good news, in fact, are always togheter.
This decaying country is totally hopeless.
Now we can also deny the result of a national referendum - that clearly sayd, in 1987, that nuclear HAS TO FUCK OFF.
So, now we have another brilliant proof that popular soverignty doesn't count anymore.

P.S.: American specialists say that nuclear is a total madness in Italy: for demographic concentration, and for the sismical risk of our soil. In fact, it doesn't exist even a square metre of terrain that could be safe to build a power plant.
